The Greely Football community is heartbroken by the loss of Ryan Jennings.

For six years, Coach Jennings gave far more than his time—he gave his heart, his energy, and an unwavering belief in every player who stepped onto the field. Ryan loved Greely football with a passion that was evident in everything he did. It wasn’t just something he coached—it was something he truly lived, pouring himself into the program and the young athletes who were a part of it.

It takes a truly unique person to connect with young student-athletes the way Ryan did, and he had a gift for it. He could have kids laughing one moment, and in the next, pushing them to be their very best—on and off the field. His presence was contagious, his encouragement constant, and the belief he instilled in others was something truly special.

What set Ryan apart even further was his commitment to every single player. He believed there was a place for everyone on the team, and he worked tirelessly to make sure each athlete felt seen, valued, and important. Whether a player was a starter or just finding their footing, Ryan made them feel like they mattered—because to him, they did. That kind of impact reaches far beyond football.

Ryan’s character extended well beyond the field. He was the kind of man who put others before himself, who led with courage, and who lived out the very values he worked so hard to instill in his players. In every sense of the word, he was someone we could all look up to—not just as a coach, but as a person. We were truly fortunate to have him in our lives and in our program.

He was more than a coach—he was a mentor, a role model, and a constant source of encouragement. The lessons he taught, the confidence he built, and the standards he set will stay with these young players for the rest of their lives.

Above all, Ryan was a devoted husband and a loving father, and our hearts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.

His legacy will live on in every lesson carried forward, every player who carries his voice with them, and every moment of teamwork, resilience, and joy that he helped create. We are committed to honoring Ryan by carrying forward what he stood for—ensuring that every player who comes through this program feels the same belief, encouragement, and sense of belonging that he gave so freely.

We will miss you, Coach and friend.
